Potato gratin

4 servings | 1 hour 20 minutes

Ingredients

2kg potatoes, peeled

2 medium onions, crescents, fried soft

1 tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper

2½ dl cream

15g butter

140g grated cheddar cheese

40g grated parmesan cheese

Garnish

½ tbsp chives, chopped finely

How to proceed

  1. Boil the potatoes in lightly salted water and fry your onions soft in a little oil.
    2. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees hot air.
  2. When the potatoes are cooked, remove about 4 potatoes and cut them into slices. Mash the rest of the potatoes with garlic powder, cream and butter. Then add the grated cheddar and soft onions. Finally, season the mash with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place the mash in a greased baking dish and arrange the potato slices on top of the mash so that they overlap. Top the dish with parmesan and bake your gratin in the center of the oven for about 25 minutes until the cheese is gratinated.
  4. Top your gratin with fresh chives.
