Creamy chicken lasagne with Audu Mild and Audu Creamy
Here, you get a true classic – and yet not quite. In this lasagne, we’ve actually replaced the beef with juicy chicken and extra vegetables – this doesn’t make it any less delicious, we must say. The flavourful filling is complemented by an extra creamy sauce with generous amounts of Audu Mild.
And to ensure that perfect crunch, the lasagne is topped with crispy Audu Creamy. Enjoy your meal!
4 portions
Pasta sauce
2 onion, finely minced
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
4 sticks celery, sliced thinly
1 squash, grated
1 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. dried thyme
100 g tomato puree
2 cans chopped tomatoes
1 dl vegetable- or chicken bouillon
300 g chicken breast, diced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Cheese sauce
25 g butter
25 g all purpose flour
4 dl milk
140 g Audu Mild
Salt and pepper
1 pack lasagne sheets
140 g Audu Creamy
Instructions
Prepare the pasta sauce with chicken
Saute onion, garlic, celery and squash with 1 tbsp oil in a large pot over medium to high heat for 3-4 mins. Add thyme, tomato puree, chopped tomatoes and bouillon, and let simmer until vegetables are soft. Blend the sauce in the pot with a hand-held blender, then add the chicken dices. Let simmer on low heat for 30 mins, and then add salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the cheese sauce
Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat, then mix the flour in. Incorporate the butter and flour, then add the milk bit by bit, all the while whisking to ensure there are no clumps. Let the sauce thicken, make sure to stir it to prevent burning. Add Audu Mild, mix until it melts, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Build your lasagne
Prewarm the oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Spread ⅓ of the prepared pasta sauce on the bottom of an ovenproof dish. Pour ¼ of the cheese sauce over it and place 3-4 lasagne sheets on top. Repeat the process twice, and cover the top lasagne sheets with a final layer of cheese sauce.
Bake the lasagne and enjoy
Spread Audu Creamy all over the top, and bake in the oven for 30-40 mins, or until the top begins to turn golden brown to your liking and the lasagne sheets are soft. Let the lasagne cool for a bit, cut it into suitable portions, arrange them on plates, and optionally serve with some fresh salad.
